As if Texas A&M's come-from-behind victory over South Carolina wasn't chaotic enough, the SEC delivered on another week of exciting results that continued to cause disruption in both the conference and national title pictures. Let's catch you up on everything you may have missed while your heart rate was coming back down to earth.
Georgia takes it to Texas with a flurry of bold play-calls in 35-10 victory
Kirby Smart continued to show why his teams will always have a mental edge over Steve Sarkisian's Longhorns, as Georgia used two fourth-down attempts and an unexpected onside kick to blitz Texas late and separate to a 25-point victory.
Georgia was in control for most of the game until a Gunner Stockton interception led to a Texas touchdown, and momentum swinging toward the visiting side. Feeling a turning of the tide, Smart refused to put the ball back in Texas' hands — those three decisions led to two Bulldog scores and essentially ended the game. This team in Athens is playing its best football at the most important time of the season, and need to be near the top of any list of national title contenders.
On the other hand, Texas has been trying to tell us all season that it weren't legitimate contenders in the sport. This is the same team that lost to a sub-.500 Florida team, beat Vanderbilt by three points and needed overtime to take down Kentucky and Mississippi State. They ran for 23 yards in this game, went 2-for-12 on third downs and gave up three sacks to an otherwise underwhelming Georgia defensive front.
It's quite the fall from grace after being the preseason favorite to win it all, but you won't hear Aggie Nation complaining all too much.
