Six possible transfer portal landing spots for Conner Weigman: Georgia
Another big time team that will be without a returning starter is one that is in the SEC Championship this Saturday. The Bulldogs will most likely see Carson Beck move on to be a high draft pick, and they don't have anyone directly in the hopper at signal caller.
That's where Weigman could step in. For my money, at his best, he's as good as or better than Beck, and with a really good offensive line, some of Conner's issues could be solved in Athens.
I'm not sure how much Kirby wants to rely on the portal at a position like QB, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Weigman playing for him next year. Mike Bobo's system isn't too different than Jimbo's, so that's possibly a draw? Though I think Weigman liked the coach more than the scheme, if I had to guess.
