One of Texas A&M's harsh reality checks last season was against South Carolina when LaNorris Sellers kept running circles around the Aggie defense with no tackler in sight.
Sellers threw for 244 yards and rushed for 106 yards against the Aggies, all while scoring three touchdowns. The main story of the game was the Aggies' defense not being able to bring down Sellers. Mike Elko is going to have an elite bunch on offense, but bringing down Sellers is going to be the most significant assignment when the Gamecocks play in College Station.
During SEC Media Days, the South Carolina players gave some bland answers when asked about facing Texas A&M this season. It almost makes us wonder what more South Carolina has in their bag against the Aggies.
South Carolina players don't reveal much on facing Texas A&M

"I've been there before, it's definitely a tough environment to play at," South Carolina defensive back DQ Smith said. "I feel like we have the right pieces going in, doing the right thing, and you know, hopefully come out with a win."

"We just got to come prepared, we got to bring our best," South Carolina defensive tackle Nick Barrett said. "We've got to bring our best against any SEC team; we just got to come out there ready to compete."
Even though these are fairly bland statements from the South Carolina players, these are much more respectable comments compared to what Texas A&M fans saw last year when they were angered by Garrett Nussmeier poking jokes at the 12th Man.
Sellers by far had the most to say, mostly praising Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed for taking over against LSU in a monstrous second half turnaround.
The South Carolina-Texas A&M matchup is going to be fun, no doubt. This season has the potential for Sellers to make a Heisman run. For Texas A&M fans, they can only hope that Reed takes the giant leap that we're all expecting.
