Texas A&M vs Florida takeaways: Aggie offense is this close to being elite
Texas A&M showed just how strong they can be on offense in their first few drives, piling up 21 points by early in the second quarter. That included a first drive where the Aggies scored in two plays— a long pass to Mario Craver followed by a rush by Marcel Reed into the end zone.
This offense is so close to figuring it all out. There were some miscues by the Aggies from any number of different areas, whether it was a receiver dropping a pass, a running back hitting the wrong hole, or Marcel hurrying a throw, there were just a few things that were plaguing this A&M offense and holding them back.
And yet, even so, the Aggies still managed to put up the most points that anyone had yet done this season on the Florida Gators. That’s no small feat! And it wasn’t a small difference, either: Miami put up 26, and the Aggies racked up 34 (and it could have been 40 or more very easily).
This shows just how formidable this unit can be if they put it all together. There may not be a better offense in the conference— or the nation— if things begin to click fully for Texas A&M on that side of the ball.
