Texas A&M fans know all too well just how volatile the recruiting game can be in many ways, with verbal commit status only going so far in this world. Many Aggie fans can get confused or cynical when they see players who are committed still taking visits to other schools, and it's hard to argue with that logic.

So with the Aggies notching so many commitments from high-level players this cycle, there are more than just a few Texas A&M fans who are a little bit skeptical about how this will all play out. The Aggies have gone national with their recruiting, hitting the states of Georgia and Florida especially hard, and with so many recruiting powers in and around those states, there are some A&M faithful who are skeptical about Texas A&M's ability to really hold onto those commitments— especially with the status of these players meaning those programs will do anything they can to win out.

Well, at least with one five-star, those fans can breathe a sigh of relief. One of the biggest early commitments in this class was safety Kamarui Dorsey out of the Peach State, and he has just officially announced that he is shutting down his recruitment for good— no more visits, he's locked in with the Aggies.

Texas A&M five-star safety commit Kamarui Dorsey shuts down recruitment in huge move

Dorsey was being hotly pursued by the in-state Georgia Bulldogs, but the Aggies have been able to stave them off once more.

That's a big move for the Aggies in their own right. Dorsey went even further, promising the Aggie faithful that this class would be bringing some national championships home to College Station before all is said and done— and if this Texas A&M staff is able to keep the same pace with their recruiting, then they will no doubt have the talent to do it.

In fact, it seems like Dorsey is intent upon helping this Aggie staff do just that. As the original post says, Dorsey wants to be part of building the greatest recruiting class of all time— which Texas A&M could easily do in this cycle, as we covered a few days ago.

These kinds of announcements will only further the chances of that happening, of course. Dorsey is a nationally-recognized player and the kind of guy that other players will want to team up with. The same goes for players like Mark Matthews, Raylaun Henry, Zyron Forstall, Kennedy Brown, and others.

Texas A&M is on the verge of doing something really special with this recruiting class. They have five to six five-stars in the class right now, depending on where you look, and they are leading for many more right now. This really could become the greatest class of all time, outpacing the Aggies' 2022 rating and hopefully far outdoing them in impact.

Dorsey is set on wanting to be in an Aggie uniform, and that's worth celebrating on the part of fans. Hopefully more commits follow suit soon.
