Texas A&M is preparing to host an astounding number of the nation's best recruits on official visits this summer, as the Aggies' 11-win season opened the eyes of players around the nation to just what Mike Elko can accomplish in College Station, given that he achieved such a notable result in only his second season.
The Aggies are the beneficiaries of a loaded in-state recruiting class, but they are expanding their horizons nationwide once again. Five star prospects from across the country will be making their way to College Station to see what Mike Elko is all about, and the Aggies have just added yet another name to that group.
Texas A&M adds five-star receiver Eric McFarland III to loaded summer visitor list
Five-star receiver Eric McFarland III announced today that he would be coming to College Station on an official visit at the end of May:

McFarland reclassified up from the 2028 cycle and is yet still considered one of the top prospects for the 2027 class. There's usually something of a dropoff when reclassification takes place, so for him to retain his top-30 status is quite the testament to his abilities.
The speedy receiver is more of an electric slot type, much like the Aggies currently have in Mario Craver, than an outside guy like Isaiah Horton. However, that speed makes him both a short and deep threat— he can make defensive backs look silly if he gets the ball in his hands closer to the line of scrimmage, but he can also split the coverage and get behind everyone.
This is big for the Aggies to get a foot in the door. McFarland will no doubt be one of the most highly in-demand players in the country, so establishing a relationship and interest at this point is big for Texas A&M. Hopefully, this is the first sign of a long, positive recruitment for the Aggies.
