Fans will be disappointed, but understand that Texas A&M offensive lineman Chase Bisontis will be entering the 2026 NFL Draft, as he announced on his Instagram page Tuesday morning.
Bisontis was heavily recruited out of high school and chose Texas A&M over Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas and Miami. Fans are even more grateful that he stayed when Jimbo Fisher got the boot, and meshed even better with Mike Elko at the helm.
We all knew he had a bright future ahead when he was named a First-team All-SEC Freshman and ended his career as a Third-team All-SEC player. Bisontis had one more year of eligibility, but he figured he could go to the NFL now and get his bag while his stock was already fairly high.

Many NFL Draft analysts have named Bisontis as one of the best pass protectors in the draft. He has quite a resume in protecting Marcel Reed and staying on his feet. In this clip, you'll see Bisontis even take some of his opponents down.
The NFL Draft Files account on X put Bisontis as the eighth-best interior offensive lineman in early October. If anything, it didn't change all that much. Connor Lew and Kadyn Proctor are at the top of that list, to give a reference on who's at the top of the board.
The Titans, 49ers, Saints and Chargers could be teams that could look in the direction of Bisontis. These are just a handful of teams that need an interior offensive lineman. Most analysts think he could go on Day 2. It would be a stretch to put him on Day 1, but if so, good for him.
Bisontis's departure is another starter leaving Texas A&M, but Elko just got OL Trovon Baugh from South Carolina and OL Coen Echols from LSU. Two names that can be a force next season.
