One of the reasons teams feared Texas A&M basketball was their grit and grind mentality along with their relentless rebounding.
The Aggies were the best offensive rebounding team in the nation, and that was because of guys like Pharrell Payne, Andersson Garcia and Henry Coleman III. Now, with a new look Aggie team, Bucky McMillan needs to start recuiting some big men to provide that same energy that was given to Buzz Williams this past season.
Of course, it's tough to replicate the same big men we saw from this past season. Working on the offensive glass isn't easy, but this is a good start to a new era of Aggie basketball.
Texas A&M basketball add Zach Clemence from Kansas Jayhawks
Clemence is a former four star player from San Antonio. He hasn't blossomed into any of his potential just yet, but the Aggies do need to build on a big man to operate with. With a bunch of high-end talent Kansas has had, it's possible Clemence just didn't get a chance to work on the court.

Clemence hasn't gotten a whole lot of action out on the court for Bill Self's squad; he's only averaging around five minutes a game along with just under two points a game. This is Clemence's last shot to prove that he belongs on the court, and as a national champion with the Jayhawks, Clemence has seen the championship mentality to win big ball games.
His one year of eligibilty will be a gift for the Aggies. Clemence has been waiting for his chance to see the court more, and with Bucky probably looking to test around some different lineups in his first season, it's a perfect opportunity for Clemence to get some shots to prove himself in his last season.
