Texas A&M basketball announcers' call of Wade Taylor game winner is amazing to watch

After an extended period of rest for Texas A&M basketball, the Aggies had a huge challenge this past Saturday: go on the road against a top-15 team who has yet to lose at home this season and take them down. Or, in other words, life in the SEC.

The Aggies raced out to a blistering start, outpacing the Missouri Tigers early on. It looked like A&M could run away with this one until their offense began to go cold, putting a little bit of life back into the building.

This resulted in a seesaw final piece of this game. The Tigers held a sizeable lead, then the Aggies came back, and then it was tight all the way down the stretch.

Of course, the game ended in favor of the Aggies after some late heroics by Wade Taylor. No. 4 in maroon furthered his case for the best Aggie basketball player of all time with yet another game-winning shot that had all A&M basketball fans get up out of their seats.

That nearly included Andrew Monaco, the voice of the Aggies. The excellent play by play man for A&M sports was plying his craft courtside, and someone from A&M's media department was savvy enough to have a camera on him and his broadcast partner, Dr. John Thornton. The result is a must-watch for Aggie basketball fans.

Monaco nearly comes out of his seat when Taylor buries the shot, and then again when the result goes final. You can see that this is a guy that lives and dies with this team, something A&M fans have no problem identifying with.

The Aggie announcers, Monaco in particular, always do a stellar job in A&M games. If you, like many A&M fans have had recently, find yourself objecting to the way the TV crew calls a game, I'd encourage you to tune into the A&M radio call— you won't be disappointed.
