Texas A&M basketball has been looking for a response since losing Wade Taylor IV to an undisclosed injury.
In his absence, Zhuric Phelps has been on another level, including a career night against Oklahoma.
Ahead of the LSU game, Aggie fans will be excited to see that their star player is coming back following one report.
Wade Taylor IV is off the injury report and will be much needed in return
Aggie basketball has found somewhat of an identity without Taylor IV. Their physical play showed up by getting 48 free throw attempts against Alabama.
Against Kentucky, the Aggies started out with more promise in the first half, but didn't really show any answer for Kentucky's stellar shooting in the second half.
Now, with the latest injury report, the offense should start to flow more smoothly with a bit more confidence.
Hayden Hefner has also been a player that's gotten credit from Buzz Williams. He's had that same defensive mentality on the rest of the team and it's paid off. He's also found a shot from outside every once in a while to keep Phelps company.
The presence of Taylor IV isn't just great on the court: his leadership has shown to matter most. Taylor IV has been extremely vocal to his guys while he's been on the bench. Wade showing up and communicating on the court only makes things that much easier.
Aggie fans will be glad to see Taylor IV in what should be a packed house for LSU on Saturday. That game will take place on the SEC Network at 7:30 CT at Reed Arena.
