Texas A&M basketball is collecting souls in difficult SEC road venues
Texas A&M basketball is in the midst of one of the most impressive seasons the program has ever had. Thanks to an experienced, veteran core of players and the gritty culture that Buzz Williams has instituted, the Aggies are standouts in the nation's top conference.
Maybe nothing shows just how strong this Aggie team is than their performance on the road in this conference. Winning away from home against ranked opponents in college basketball is always a tough ask, but the Ags have managed to stack several such victories.
What's more, it has often come against teams that, up until that point, had been unblemished at home. The Aggies have played three teams that were undefeated in their own gyms until A&M came knocking.

In each of these three instances— the win over Oklahoma, the win over Ole Miss, and the win over Missouri— the Aggies had to come back from a considerable deficit. It was most pronounced against the Sooners and Rebels, but the ability to stay true to your game and block out the noise when the entire crowd is against you is absolutely vital in college basketball.
That's much easier said than done, of course, but the Aggies have been able to pull it off in more than one instance. That's extremely significant.
Texas A&M basketball will have another few opportunities to do this same thing down the stretch. Most notably, they'll head on the road to take on what is right now a top 3-ranked Florida Gators team later in the season, though Aggie fans shouldn't overlook a trip to Mississippi State, either.
For now, though, they have a pair of home matchups against Georgia and Arkansas to navigate. This Aggie team keeps getting better, though, and before long, they could be the talk of the entire conference.
