Even though Texas A&M has already lost back-to-back games, it's good losses to say the least. It didn't stop ESPN's Joe Lunardi from keeping Texas A&M in the thick of the March Madness race.
Most of Lunardi's predictions on the Ags before the start of the season were one of the "last four teams " and even a first four out. Now, they've escaped all the tests, and Lunardi has the Aggies in a solid spot.
The Alabama loss will look even better for Texas A&M, after it was determined that Charles Bediako would no longer be eligible to play for Alabama. It was a rough loss to Florida, but A&M will be back, and Lunardi thinks so, too.

The only catch is playing the No. 1 seed, Arizona. If the Aggies end up in the eighth or ninth seed and win that first-round match, they will have to play a No. 1 seed. It could be UConn or even Michigan, but either way, it's a tough race for the Aggies if they get out of the first game.
The Aggies can try to make a run at the No. 7 seed, but it will take going through a gauntlet in the SEC tournament. That may be the only way Bucky and his guys can get out of a tougher road as an eighth-seeded team.
It won't be the end of the world if the Aggies have to play someone like Arizona, but it will be tough. They had a chance to make the top 25 if they had beaten Florida, but they laid an egg.
There's a lot of basketball to go, but these Texas A&M Aggies are already defying expectations of what they were supposed to be. They were supposed to be 12th in the SEC. They were competing for first place in the SEC in early February. That's still a pretty good place to be in if you ask me.
