Texas A&M basketball was off to a frustrating start against the Georgia Bulldogs. It didn't take long for fans to realize that the deficit that the Aggies found themselves in was going to take a second half effort to come back from.
The Ags had struggled mightily from the field in the first half, and especially from beyond the arc, as it looked like it was going to be another ugly game on the offensive end.
They made it the exact opposite actually, as once more, it was 'palpable Buzz Williams' that came through for our good friend Jon Rothstein.
Aggies' second half rally is just becoming the new norm
After a 32-23 halftime score favoring the Bulldogs, the Aggies needed to do some work with Reed Arena as quiet as it's been this season.
Then, it was the transfer of the SEC this season, Zhuric Phelps, emerging as a spark, along with Wade Taylor IV with two highlight plays of his own. One of those was an absolute ankle breaker on one defender.

This was a part of a 25-2 run in 7:36 for the Aggies, as the Bulldogs lost all of their momentum once the Aggies started getting tougher.
Another huge play from Phelps came off one of the best jams we'll see from an Aggie this season, which is really saying something.

This is officially when Reed Arena came fully to life. The Aggies and their fans are going home to sleep happy knowing they get another come from behind second half victory with a 69-53 win.
The others performed with plenty of firepower as well. Solomon Washington had 17 points off the bench along with five rebounds and two steals.
Pending how the Aggies perform on Saturday, they should be trending upwards in the AP rankings thanks to Purdue losing to Michigan. Texas A&M will have a lot on their plate when the Arkansas big man Zvonimir Ivisic comes into town on Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. CT, but the Ags will be ready.
