Texas A&M basketball has been adjusting to all kinds of chaos since being knocked out in the round of 32 to the Michigan Wolverines.

Since that loss, the Texas A&M fanbase said goodbye to some of their beloved veterans, including arguably their greatest player to ever suit up in an Aggie uniform, Wade Taylor IV. Buzz Williams left College Station after providing one of the best tenures in Aggie basketball history, and handed the reigns over to Bucky McMillan, who's looking to prove he belongs in SEC basketball.

Now, with the transfer portal heating up across the country, Bucky might've just gotten his cash cow in Aggieland. A former 5-star is headed to College Station, and it's just what Aggie fans have dreamed about.

Mackenzie Mgbako is the perfect fit for Aggie basketball

A former Indiana Hoosier is coming to College Station. Mackenzie Mgbako, a 6-foot-9 sophomore from New Jersey, shows all the tools needed to up his game even more. Mgbako came to Indiana already a star. As a guy who can attack the basket and shoot lights out from anywhere, this is exactly what Texas A&M needed to keep their strong legacy going.

Mgbako has averaged over 12 points a game in both of his seasons with Indiana. He can also rebound the basketball at a pretty solid rate, averaging 4.6 boards last season.

This is a perfect fit for Mgbako simply because of the dumpster fire situation for Indiana basketball. Fans were calling for Mike Woodson to be fired during the season, and now, Indiana has gone through with that call by allowing Woodson to walk with Indiana basketball now in a ginormous hole.

The Aggies will provide Mgbako with a new home and a chance to grow even stronger. He will already become one of the most anticipated players of the SEC for the 2025-26 season.
