Texas A&M basketball has hit plenty of home runs this offseason, starting with hiring Bucky McMillan. McMillan has brought in guys to fit his fast paced philosophy, and he's also been able to get a couple of steals from blue blood teams.

He's already snagged Rylan Griffen from Alabama and Kansas. Griffen played an important role during Alabama's Final Four run from 2024, and now he's got a new home in College Station where he's going to get tons of minutes.

Now, the Aggies are bringing in another former Jayhawk who's looking to prove his worth. Noah Shelby is a 6-foot-3 guard from McKinney, Texas. He didn't play many minutes as a Jayhawk, but the majority of his playing time came from Rice. He established himself as a confident shooter from his pull-up jumpers, and he's going to be an excellent addition to McMillan's staff.

This was one of the more quiet signings for Texas A&M. Most of McMillan's roster is filled up already, but Shelby is the perfect fit for McMillan's squad.

If there was a "journeyman" of college basketball, Shelby would fit the billing. He's played at Vanderbilt, Rice, Kansas and now Texas A&M. Most of his reps came with Rice where he had no problem pulling up from downtown. He's also confident driving inside going right and putting up quick floaters. He's got a great handle and can pull it from the baseline.

Shelby is the perfect size who we could easily see breakout this season. McMillan continues to make steal after steal, and this move is no different.
