Texas A&M has another one out, and it's their true freshman cornerback, Corey Sellers.
It was reported by Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of CBS Sports. Sellers didn't see much of the field because he was being redshirted, but that doesn't mean that he didn't have the potential to see the field.
Texas A&M already saw another young player in Izaiah Williams, who entered the transfer portal after a quiet freshman season.
Texas A&M loses another young player to the portal in CB Cobey Sellers
Sellers, being a former 4-star, definitely had what it took to see reps. He was the definition of a lockdown corner in high school and was a deadly punt returner. He could've worked his way up from the depth chart to become a return man and further make his way up to become a cornerback.
Much of the reaction was the same with the Texas A&M media, with those wishing him the best in his next home, but some were disappointed that he wasn't able to stay true to the Maroon and White.
Sellers was also being recruited heavily by Oklahoma before he committed to Texas A&M. We're not saying it's a guarantee that he will end up in Norman, but it's definitely a possibility with him already knowing the coaching staff.
Sellers will go along with Williams as the freshman that never got their chance, but then again, this might be a clear message from Mike Elko that he is looking for the experienced transfers that will change this program for the better.
