Trisha Ford has led Texas A&M softball to new heights with a number one AP ranking and one of the few competitors to the four-time consecutive champion, Oklahoma Sooners.

The Aggies were on a tear in the regular season and postseason, meeting up with the Sooners for what would've been one of the most anticipated matchups of the year, but SEC commissioner Greg Sankey made the call that has fans fuming on the Aggies side and Sooners side.

Sankey angers fans by cancelling Sooners-Aggies championship game

The Oklahoma Sooners have no doubt been the queens of college softball for sometime, and the Aggies have been waiting to defeat the Sooners in what could've been the most anticipated game in Aggies softball history.

This was certainly unfortunate for both teams, as the Sooners were looking to prove to add one more title to their resume. The Aggies were looking to break that up, and the fact they don't have a chance to has plenty of fans and media members steaming.

The Sooners and Aggies have been awarded co-champions, but one prominent college sports account on X is claiming how this is one example on how Oklahoma has ruined college sports in general.

It seems like Texas A&M softball could've really made a name for themselves if they had beaten the champions. It's also a really complicated situation of how both teams can't control the weather. The SEC commissioner should also have a way to reschedule the most important game in the SEC this season.

Though Texas A&M fans are incensed at Sankey's decision, there's certainly a chance that the Aggies will get another shot at Oklahoma in the postseason. If A&M continues their current trajectory, they'll have a shot at winning it all, and to do that, you have to take down teams like the Sooners.
