Texas A&M's recruiting strategy for the 2026 cycle has paid off in a big way so far. The Aggies currently hold a top-6 class in the nation per the composite rankings, and they still have a big number of top targets that have yet to announce their collegiate intentions.
That said, there's some risk involved with the way the Aggies have approached this class. For those who haven't been following closely, Texas A&M has, up until this point, built their class from mostly out-of-state commitments, holding only a few from the Lone Star State at this juncture.
The issue there is that, even though the Aggies may have been in on a given prospect first, when an in-state or local school begins to push hard, you'll always be worried about what they could do to reverse the commitment. That's a worry that we've already seen come to fruition with a guy like Trashawn Ruffin, and it could be manifesting again with another four-star commitment.
Four-star Texas A&M commit Samu Moala placed on flip watch by recruiting insider
Last night, Adam Gorney of Rivals released a list of ten recruits who should be placed on flip watch throughout the country. This included four-star Texas A&M EDGE commit Samu Moala, out of California.

Moala has indicated that he will be taking his visits despite his commitment, and insiders aren't exactly worried yet— the Aggie commit has some strong connections with the current team. However, with a guy heading around to other schools, you can bet that they'll be giving him their best pitch.
So on that level, fans should be on alert. This comes with the dinner when you have an aggressive out-of-state recruiting strategy and are intent on landing high-level prospects.
It should also be said that the Aggies are in on some of the other players on this list. Recent Oregon commit Richard Wesley has been considering the Ags for quite some time, and they've reportedly kept communication open with Houston QB commit Keisean Henderson. So while the Ags should be on alert here for a flip away, they should also be ready for a possible flip in the positive direction.
