Texas A&M fans were surprised on Wednesday night to see that linebacker Scooby Williams, who missed two games earlier in the season with a lower body injury, was once again listed as out for the Aggies' game against Missouri this coming Saturday. Williams was a full participant against LSU and did not appear to sustain any injuries during the course of that game.

Bryce Anderson and Le'Veon Moss were listed as out previously, so their inclusion is not a surprise. Freshman safety Rashad Johnson missed the game against LSU, so he is apparently still on the way back as well.
As mentioned beforehand, Scooby missed two games earlier this year— really, two and a half, given that he was out for the second half in South Bend— and in that time, the Aggies saw a high level of play out of backup Daymion Sanford, who has continued to get a lot of snaps since that point.

Sanford has maintained his high level of play since that point, seeming nigh equal in quality to Williams in the intervening weeks. That's been a huge boon for the Aggies, who have also been bringing along an impact freshman in LB Noah Mikhail, when it comes to the linebacking corps.
Now, with Williams out, Aggie fans are hoping that Sanford can continue his ascent, with Mikhail in the second chair. There's a bright future at this spot for the Aggies, but they will certainly be tested in this game.
This is not the game you'd want a starting linebacker to miss, of course. The Missouri ground game, though they'll be without the same QB run threat with Beau Pribula out, is still formidable thanks to RB Ahmad Hardy, the conference's leading rusher.
With Taurean York at the other LB spot, though, the Aggies should be well-equipped to handle this Mizzou rushing attack. No Scooby is definitely not ideal, but this team has proven to be deep enough at that spot where fans can rest easy for the moment.
