Texas A&M fans have been closely eyeing the availability of star Aggie running back Le'Veon Moss in the leadup to this game against the Miami Hurricanes, while word from coach Elko and the Aggie insiders has been hard to come by. Whether or not the Aggies will have one of their best players ready for this game has been completley shrouded in mystery in the leadup to this game.
It's led to some pretty wild speculation— talk involving agents, opting out, and all sorts of other conjecture has been dotted around Aggie spaces in this discussion— but optimism has been growing for some Aggie fans following practice clips that were released of Moss getting some reps in.
The official word, however, is that it is still a coin flip for Le'Veon. He's once again been listed as questionable in the leadup to this game, and according to a recent report from Pete Nakos, Moss is expected to be a game time decision tomorrow.
Le'Veon Moss reportedly a game-time decision vs Miami this Saturday
Nakos sent out the word on Moss this evening, while also mentioning that he "continues to progress" on his way back from injury. That wording definitely seems positive, of course, and given that he was moving full speed at practice, it seems like he's close to being all systems go.
There's a couple of ways to look at this: maybe Moss is out and this is simple gamesmanship from Elko before starting Rueben Owens. On the other hand, if Moss really is a game time decision, then it would seem that there is hardly anything that would actually keep him out from this game.
It's not often in the pro leagues that a star player is listed as a game time decision for a huge playoff game and then decides that he's not able to go. That would be what's happening if Moss decides to sit in this game— which I think is pretty unlikely.
If Moss is close to ready to go, then he'll go. This is the time of the season that you've been building towards— it's time to put your chips on the table.
