Texas A&M football fans are getting just what they asked for with LSU game start time

Texas A&M football will welcome in no. 8 LSU this weekend for a huge showdown at Kyle Field. The Aggies and Tigers will play for control of the Southeastern Conference, as they are the only two remaining teams without a conference loss.

Even though this seemed to be shaping up this way the entirety of last week—both LSU and A&M were favorites in their road contests. Of course, they got the wins they were expected to, as the Tigers vanquished Arkansas and the Aggies dispatched Mississippi State.

Now, this is a top-15 game for pole position in the nation's premier conference. In other words, it really doesn't get any bigger than this.

All that in mind, it seems somewhat ridiculous in retrospect that the Aggies and Tigers were originally made to be part of a flex scheduling arrangement with several other games. It seemed to be the easiest call in the world that this would be the biggest of those games.

Given that what we all anticipated has now come to pass, the Aggies are going to get what fans have been clamoring for since the beginning of last week—and even before!

It was announced last night that LSU at Texas A&M football will indeed be a night game at Kyle Field, and will air on ABC. The Aggies are getting the red carpet treatment for this one from ESPN, as their contest will be the top-billed game of the day.

After disappointment in the first game of the year on a similar stage, the Aggies have a chance to recapture the narrative. The Ags will have the biggest stage possible in which to do that—just like fans have been hoping for all this time.
