Texas A&M football: Grading and impact of every transfer portal addition

Texas A&M football brought in a great haul of players through the transfer portal. Which ones have the greatest opportunity to make an impact in 2025?

Grading and impact of Texas A&M football's transfer portal additions: TE Micah Riley

Much like Boerkircher, this is an addition that flew well under the radar when it was initially announced. Riley hasn't seen many targets in his time at Auburn, but he brought with him a reputation as a plus blocker.

That's likely where his utility will come from for the Aggies. A&M, as I mentioned, is in need of some solid, in-line blocking TEs on their roster, as the ones they've had on their roster so far don't exactly have that skillset.

Riley will see plenty of time on the field because of that, if I had to wager. However, he also needs to develop his pass-catching game as well; if you only block out there, then you're basically an offensive lineman. The beauty of the TE position is the uncertainty of the defense about which you will do on a given play.

Hopefully he does just that. If so, he'll be a big player for the Aggies this fall.
