Texas A&M football brought in a great haul of players through the transfer portal. Which ones have the greatest opportunity to make an impact in 2025?

Grading and impact of Texas A&M football's transfer portal additions: EDGE TJ Searcy

Searcy is another add at a position of need. Bateman's influence was no doubt a big factor in this one, as he worked closely with the front seven players in his time at Florida.

The Gators were less than pleased to lose Searcy, who was projected to come in as a starter for them next year. He was one of the biggest losses in a considerable exodus out of Gainesville, and the Aggies ended up the beneficiary.

His physical talent is undeniable, and he's flashed some really high-end potential that could lead to top-level production if he can leverage it well enough. I think he's a great fit for Elko's scheme and can impact the lineup right away.

Though he looks to be a sure impact player, the fact remains that the proven numbers aren't there quite yet, so this remains a projection. Even so, I'm high on his ability to make some noise in College Station.

Grade: B+
