Since Texas A&M football went down in an embarrassing outing at home against the Texas Longhorns, it became apparent that new talent was needed to help Mike Elko and company.

While that help might not come until 2026, they will need some help on both sides of the ball once guys like Will Lee III and Trey Zuhn call it quits. With a couple of announcements coming this summer, Aggie fans are eagerly awaiting for two potential crucial signings that will make or break their summer.

Aggie football has eyes on 5-star recruits for 2026

Aggie football has their eye on two men that could make an immediate impact in Aggieland. In this highlight, offensive lineman and defensive lineman Lamar Brown shoves off one defender and then puts another defender on his backside.

Brown has the tangibles to grow as an offensive lineman, and as a defender, he already shows the strength. Elko can work on him on either end. He won't be the next Travis Hunter, but Brown has shown that he is a true athlete.

Another athlete that's on Texas A&M's eyes is Brandon Arrington. He's a 5-star cornerback from California, and he is a true athlete who plays on both ends as well. He's a track star which really helps out on the football field. The only issue is that he's also being looked at by other blue blood football schools like Oregon, Penn State and USC.

If Texas A&M can just pull off one recruit here, it could change the program, but this is already a good look for Elko going into just his second year at Texas A&M. Both of these guys are highly interested in the Aggies, and if they could land the two of them... well, watch out.
