Texas A&M football set to host Missouri commit Lamont Rogers in hopes of completing five-star flip

Texas A&M football's strong season thus far is set up to have far-reaching results. Though the Aggies are by no means done with what they have set out to accomplish this year, what they have done so far is show a proof of concept for the Mike Elko era.

Barring a complete collapse down the stretch, this is going to be an extremely strong year to build on for the Aggies, and this staff is doing everything they can to make hay on the recruiting trail as a result.

Part of that is circling back around with some longtime targets, even those committed elsewhere. One of those targets—chief among them, in fact—is Mesquite offensive tackle Lamont Rogers, who is currently committed to Missouri.

The Aggie faithful saw several predictions come in for A&M to flip the highly-coveted tackle over the past few weeks, and it's looking like that might come to fruition here pretty soon.

Rogers is reportedly visiting the Aggies this weekend, as first announced by Jason Howell of Texags.

Even though it's just New Mexico State, getting Rogers on campus means this weekend is already a huge success. If this coaching staff can complete the flip, it would be an absolutely massive result for this class.

Rogers would become the headliner of an extremely strong offensive line class that Mike Elko and Adam Cushing have put together. Given the strength of the Aggies' offensive front so far this year, it's likely that this will be a strong point moving forward for A&M as well.
