Texas A&M football has one player upgraded but another downgraded ahead of pivotal Auburn matchup

Texas A&M football is in playoff mode at the moment headed into this game against Auburn. For all intents and purposes, the Aggies are playing like they are already on the brink of elimination, even though there's a definite path for them even if they lose.

Given that fact, though, the Aggies need to be as close as they can be to full strength for this stretch, even against downtrodden Auburn. The numbers would tell you that the Tigers pose a serious threat despite that poor record, so the Ags need to keep their collective head on a swivel.

In that vein, it was a pleasant surprise when a name that has been listed as "Out" all season, Rueben Owens, had suddenly been upgraded to "Doubtful". However, he has been relegated back to "Out" in the latest injury report.

The good news is that Chase Bisontis, who has missed the last few games, has been upgraded from "Doubtful" to "Questionable"; in other words, he went from a 25% chance to play to a 50% chance.

Though Owens's return would have been huge for the Aggies, Bisontis's prospective return might be just as big. The Aggies have been having a lot of trouble in pass protection at the right guard spot since Bisontis went down—though TJ Shanahan is an absolute monster out there, his forte is run blocking right now.

Hopefully we see both of these guys make a return to the lineup eventually, but Bisontis getting back for the game against Auburn would be huge. Here's hoping we see no. 71 out there against the Tigers.
