Texas A&M football picks up commitment from promising freshman WR Mario Craver from Mississippi State
Texas A&M football keeps on adding to their receiver room via the portal. Near the end of the season, it was becoming clear that the Ags needed far more juice at the position than what they had; with that in mind, it was imperative that A&M make some noise at the spot in the portal.
Less than ten days into the cycle, the Ags have already been doing just that. A&M started off with a commitment from Micah Hudson, a guy with the kind of potential that hasn't been seen around here in quite some time, adding a transformative talent to the receiver room.
Now, they keep on adding talent. The Ags just picked up a commitment from a highly-coveted transfer freshman receiver in Mississippi State's Mario Craver.

The 5’10 170 WR totaled 17 Receptions for 368 Yards & 3 TDs this season (21.6 YPC)
3 years of eligibility remaining https://t.co/0sFRVRiPbX pic.twitter.com/ZXHFThs1U4
Craver was a highlight on a team that showed a lot of promise on offense, if not on the other side of the ball. He made some big catches against great defenses, including Georgia, Texas A&M, and the Longhorns.
He's just scratching the surface of his potential, too, as he had to play through some quarterback issues in Starkville and is only a freshman. With some more stability in College Station, a better scheme, and other factors, I expect his production to step up in his sophomore year.
This is another huge get for the Ags. A&M will continue to pursue some top targets at receiver via the portal, but they've got two great ones in the boat at the moment.
