The Texas A&M Aggies had unreal second half momentum.

There was plenty of chit chat going into this one with Tigers and Aggies talking trash to one another.

Texas A&M got the last laugh.

After Marcel Reed took over in the third quarter, the Aggies were as confident as ever.

As a team that's been criticized over "College Gameday" apperances and primetime apperances, the Aggies answered that bell. And they didn't just answer it, they dominated.

Here are what some Aggies said after the victory against the Tigers.

Marcel Reed on respect for his fellow quarterback

"The team and I have a lot of faith in Conner. I gave the team an opportunity to stay in this race."

Reed giving Weigman his credit is everything. That's what fans want to see when it comes down to a potential quarterback controversy.

Marcel Reed on spark in the second half

"Getting that spark in the second half, there was no going back from that."

Talk about a spark with Reed running for three rushing touchdowns in the second half alone.

There was no doubt that Reed was the offensive spark that was never present in the ballgame.

If it wasn't for Reed's spark, we wouldn't be talking about an Aggie victory.

Even ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit credited Reed saying he can throw the football well.

DB BJ Mayes on being down at first

"We didn't really feel it. First half, they came with all they had. We made a lot of mistakes in the first half."

Mayes was the biggest secondary player for A&M in the second half. Mayes picked off two passes off of Garrett Nussmeier.

Mayes was the difference maker on the defense in the second half.

The Aggies have a bunch on both ends to thank for this victory, and Mayes is one of the major characters.

HC Mike Elko on home field advantage

"There are things we have to elevate in this program. Our home atmosphere is not one of them. That was the first time in the SEC this late in the season that a game was as important to us."

This should be an easy explanation. Kyle Field was rocking in the first half, and there was no rhythm for the Tigers going forward.

Elko was definitely animated near the end of the first half—that probably set a fire under the Aggies' bottoms.

HC Mike Elko on sitting in first place in SEC

"That we have a big game next week. That's what I told the guys. The price is you have a target on your back."

There's no denying that the Gamecocks on the road will be a tough challenge.

Elko is doing a great job to make sure that Texas A&M doesn't get too ahead of themselves.
