Texas A&M football brought back to life by huge catch and run by Noah Thomas

Texas A&M football, after going down by three touchdowns, has caught all the way up to the Auburn Tigers. We now have a dogfight on our hands.

The Aggies looked dead in the water early in the second quarter. They were unable to get anything going, and the defense was as porous as we've seen it this year.

Before the half, though, the Aggies scored a touchdown. Then again on their first possession of the second half.

Then, after turning the Tigers away on a three and out, it only took the Aggies one play to tie things up. Marcel Reed connected with Noah Thomas on an absolute dot to send no. 3 to the house.

This was a huge turning point in this game. The wind completely went out of a crowd that had up until that point been absolutely ferocious. The Aggies now feel much more in control of this game, and are about to get the ball back after the Tigers missed a field goal.

With Oklahoma leading Alabama right now, there's a solid chance that the Aggies will be able to make the SEC Championship no matter what happens tonight. But for their College Football Playoff chances, the Ags desperately need to win this one and next week against Texas.

This catch by Thomas could be a pivot point for the entire season in hindsight. There's a lot of game left, but the Aggies are sitting in a good spot now.
