The 2025 college football regular season is just a few weeks away, and with that comes the unveiling of projected standings, preseason honors, and award watchlists. It should be no surprise that the Aggies, a projected top-eight team in the SEC this season, had themselves a busy week when it came to award watch lists.
Ar'Maj Reed-Adams & Trey Zuhn III named to 2025 Outland Trophy watch list
Two members of the talented Texas A&M offensive line were named to the watch list for the 2025 Outland Trophy, presented to the best interior lineman in the nation.
Reed-Adams, a starter all of last season for the Aggies, allowed just one sack on the year and led the team with fewest pressures allowed among qualified players. Zuhn, entering his fifth year with the Aggies and fourth year as the team's left tackle, led the team with 882 offensive snaps in 2024 and was also one of the more efficient players on the roster, drawing just two penalties and allowing only two sacks.
KC Concepcion named to 2025 Paul Hornung Award watch list
One of the Aggies' newest additions to the roster was named to the watch list for the 2025 Paul Hornung Award, presented to the most versatile player in college football.
Concepcion, the 2023 ACC Rookie and Offensive Rookie of the Year, totaled nearly 1,300 yards and 16 scores on 124 catches with the Wolfpack and an additional 356 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Now in College Station, Concepcion will look to build upon that strong start in what is presumed to be the featured role in the A&M passing attack.
Taurean York named to 2025 Butkus Award watch list
A top Aggies defender was named to the Butkus Award watch list on Wednesday, given to the best linebacker in the nation.
York, a two-time captain for the Aggies, led the team with 82 tackles last season to go with 9.5 tackles for loss across 700 snaps. The Texas native would become the second Aggie to win the Butkus award, joining Von Miller who received the trophy in 2010.
Albert Regis named to 2025 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy preseason watch list
Defensive tackle Albert Regis, a member of the 2024 SEC Community Service Team, was named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy preseason watch list on Thursday. The award honors college football's top community servant.
A full-year starter in 2024, Regis made 36 tackles (16 solo) to go with three tackles for loss and six pass breakups. He's just as busy off the field, spending more than 40 hours of community service at Twin City Mission in Bryan, speaking to elementary schools about the importance of education, and handing out gift bags to pediatric cancer patients at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston.
Randy Bond named to 2025 Lou Groza Award Preseason watch list
The Aggies' starting kicker, a 2024 Lou Groza Award semifinalist, was named to the preseason watch list on Friday; an award presented to the nation's best place-kicker.
Bond ranked 15th in the nation last season with 20 made field goals, and his 83.3 field goal percentage was fourth best in the SEC of kickers with 20 or more attempts. His best performance of the season came against South Carolina, where he booted two 50-plus yard field goals against the Gamecocks.
Tyler White named to 2025 Ray Guy Award Preseason watch list
Last but not least, Texas A&M starting punter was named to the Ray Guy Award Preseason watch list — presented to the nation's top collegiate punter.
White was a semifinalist for the award last season, a year in which only three of his 46 punts were returned for a mere 14 yards. He was the nation's best freshman punter in yards per punt with 44.9, and pinned 25 of his kicks inside the 20-yard line.
