Texas A&M football players urge fans to wear black to the LSU game this Saturday

Texas A&M football is hosting the LSU Tigers for a high-stakes contest this Saturday. The Ags and Tigers are the two teams remaining in the SEC that are still undefeated in the conference, meaning that the winner of this game has the inside track to Atlanta.

Of course, this game had been circled on the schedule for quite some time before we knew that it would be so consequential in the conference race. You can always hope for these things, but in a league as competitive as the SEC, you really never know until it happens.

The Tigers have been the rivalry weekend matchup for Texas A&M football for the last ten years, replacing the Lone Star Showdown once Texas decided they couldn't handle playing A&M anymore. Now that the Longhorns are back in the conference, though, that game was put back on rivalry weekend, meaning the yearly meeting between A&M and LSU had to be moved up.

It's still a meaningful game to both fanbases, however. Probably due to this, this date has been marked off for quite some time as one where the Aggies will be wearing special alternate jerseys.

It's not very much of a secret anymore that the alternate jersey is a new blackout variety, as they are on sale at most places that sell Aggie gear. The full thing has yet to be revealed, though.

Ahead of the debut of this new jersey, Aggie players took to Twitter—and the press conference podium!—to urge fans to wear black this weekend.

Even the 12th Man, Nana Boadi-Owusu, got in on the action.

If you're making your way to Kyle this Saturday, heed these instructions. Presenting a unified front here will help accentuate the already-stellar home environment that Kyle Field is.
