Texas A&M football players using inside track to recruit dynamic portal wide receiver

Texas A&M football looks to have a leg up on some other schools when it comes to adding what will no doubt be one of the top portal players at the position.

Texas A&M football players tweet at former teammate, receiver portal entry to join them in College Station

For all the success that Texas A&M football has had this season, one of the areas where they can definitely use some growth is at receiver. The Aggies have some guys with definite talent there, like Noah Thomas and Terry Bussey, but there's some more juice needed at that spot for the Aggies.

As you might expect, then, receiver is going to be a huge point of emphasis for the Aggies once the transfer portal opens, as it will soon. There are a lot of high-talent guys around the country that the Ags have been in on during their high school recruitments, and we'll have a more extensive list out next week of players that the Ags should target, but often it's players with whom a school does not have that kind of history that they bring in via the portal.

One guy like that who could end up with the Aggies is Kansas State receiver Jayce Brown. A top option for the Wildcats, and a guy who brings plenty of that juice that the Aggies need, Brown announced today that he intends to enter the transfer portal.

Of course, given that he's coming from Kansas State, Brown is a guy that plenty of Aggie players, and one important staffer, will have a lot of familiarity with. Collin Klein was Brown's OC just last year, and Aggie DB Will Lee and WR Wesley Watson were his teammates at that point as well.

Lee and Watson took to Twitter to make their feelings known about where Brown should end up.

Brown would be a high-quality addition to the Aggies' receiver room, and I have no doubt that the staff will be working hard to get him on campus as soon as is practical.
