Following visit to Texas A&M football, Aggies receiving predictions to land former five-star WR Micah Hudson
Texas A&M football is now right smack dab in the midst of transfer portal insanity, and the Aggies are looking to fill some holes on the roster. As A&M players continue to enter their names into the portal— most, as of this moment, from the bottom of the depth chart— the Aggies are looking to upgrade in several areas.
One of the areas most in need of attention is the receiver room. The Ags have some players there, but the overall quality has not been quite what they need from their pass-catchers. They have a big time weapon at quarterback, but the guys catching the ball haven't always been the best at getting open or making contested grabs.
The Ags have begun to address that with the addition of a guy like Jerome Myles via the high school ranks, but they are clearly intent on making some noise at that spot in the portal as well. Amidst many reports of high-profile receivers scheduling visits to College Station, though, one of the top targets in the position was wrapping up his trip to Aggieland.
Recruiting fans will well remember the name of five-star receiver Micah Hudson, who was one of the most highly-rated recruits in the state of Texas in 2024 but ended up at Texas Tech. He visited the Aggies a couple of times down the stretch, but he ended up heading to Lubbock instead.
Now, though, he's in the portal— and Aggieland was his first stop. By all accounts, the visit went well— so well, in fact, that the Ags have already received a pair of predictions to land Hudson: one from Steve Wiltfong and the other from Pete Nakos, both of On3.
This would be quite the get for the Aggies. Here's hoping Elko and this staff can continue to work their magic; Hudson is just what the Ags need at the receiver spot.
