Texas A&M football set to host elite five-star prospect John Turntine III this weekend as heavyweight in-state battle takes yet another turn
If there's one thing that has become evident from this new Texas A&M football staff, it's that OL coach Adam Cushing was a great pickup by Mike Elko. The improvement shown from last season in that unit was huge in 2024, and with another year under his tutelage, they look to be even better in 2025.
Cushing has also demonstrated his chops on the recruiting trail as well. The offensive line haul from this previous class was impressive, with guys like Marcus Garcia, Jonte Newman, and Lamont Rogers as highlights. The group was a combination of thoroughbred five-star prospects and great evals by Cushing, and it looks like it will pay dividends for seasons to come.
For the 2026 cycle, though, the Aggies are going big-game hunting. A&M has already drawn visits from elite OTs (and, for that matter, the top two prospects in the nation) Immanuel Iheanacho and Jackson Cantwell, both of whom seem set to make a return to Aggieland in the future, and now they are looking to add yet another five star to their visit list.
John Turntine of Fort Worth, the highest-ranked prospect in the state of Texas this cycle, will visit Texas A&M football on Saturday.
Texas A&M football set up last year's major haul with some spring visits from elite OTs when they got all three of Michael Fasusi, Lamont Rogers, and Ty Haywood to visit College Station in the spring. Now, they are once again bringing in a triumvirate of talent on the offensive front— here's hoping they can close on one or more of these names come signing day.
