The stakes for this weekend's game on both sides are absolutely massive, and the ticket prices to see Texas A&M football reflect that.

Texas A&M football is facing off with their hated rival, the Texas Longhorns, this Saturday for the first time in over a decade. Though this game has not been played on the field in quite some time, the passion burns as hotly as it ever has.

If that rivalry factor wasn't enough, though, this game has taken on a whole new importance with how the season has gone. This has been a college football fall full of twists and turns, but it has led to this game between the Ags and Horns being a "win and in" situation for the SEC championship.

The winner of this weekend's game punches their ticket to Atlanta to play the Georgia Bulldogs for the conference crown. That's about as high as you could picture the stakes being for a game like this—and ticket prices are reflecting that reality.

Texas A&M football's rivalry game vs. Longhorns set to be "most expensive regular season football ticket" on record

According to ticket price tracking service TickPick, the tickets for the Aggies and Longhorns have skyrocketed, such that they are now the most expensive regular season football ticket on record for both college football and the NFL.

That's an insane level to be at, but it makes sense given everything that's on the line. Of course, the Maroon and White faithful have talked a lot about what this game means for A&M, but the Longhorns have a lot at stake as well—if they lose to A&M, their case for the CFP looks really weak, and they wouldn't get a chance to play for an auto-bid.

It all comes down to this for both teams. Nothing less than a conference crown and possible playoff berth is on the line. This is the most meaningful this one has ever been.
