Texas A&M football is working hard to nail down a top class in 2026. The Aggies are, so far, one of the few teams with a legitimate shot at the number one overall group when all is said and done, but they'll have to win some heavyweight battles to earn that distinction.
Mike Elko and company have shown that they are able to stay in these recruitments, even through commitments elsewhere, and win out in the long haul, however. The Aggies would obviously much rather lock down a commit on the front end, but this is a staff that can endure.
One recruitment that they've been at the forefront of for some time is that of Brandon Arrington, a five-star corner out of California. Arrington recently released his list of schools that he will be paying official visits to over the spring and summer, and as you'd expect, the Aggies made the list.
Texas A&M football set to receive official visit from elite five-star CB Brandon Arrington
Texas A&M football is one of five teams that has locked in a date for Arrington to visit campus, joining Penn State, Alabama, Southern Cal, and Oregon. Georgia is also set to receive a visit, but that date is to be determined.

The placement of this visit isn't exactly amazing relative to his other stops— you like to have the last slot available, usually— but that could be outdated guidance by this point. In the world of NIL and the portal, recruiting has gone all sorts of directions, so this may not actually be a hindrance.
Texas A&M football has to do whatever they can to get Arrington in Maroon and White next year. This is a guy that can start from day one, already possessing a college-ready frame and skillset. If he lands with the Aggies, it will be a huge victory.
