Texas A&M football starts off signing day with a bang, adding five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles

Texas A&M football fans are no strangers to up and down, crazy recruiting stories. While the ending to this one wrapped things up with a nice bow, the back and forth of this one is up there with the wildest we've seen.

Jerome Myles is a five-star receiver out of Corner Canyon, Utah. He was high on the Aggies early on after decommitting from Ole Miss late in his junior year, but then Southern Cal came out of nowhere to snag his commitment.

He remained committed to the Trojans throughout his senior year, but the smoke never quite went away with him and Texas A&M. As the end of the season approached, though the Aggies had a visit on the books with Myles for the final game of the year, it seemed like their chances had all but completely faded.

However, the environment at Kyle Field on Saturday appeared to change that. All of a sudden, the buzz around Myles was strong with the Maroon and White.

Then, an announcement from the last few days had Aggie fans worried. Myles reportedly would not sign in the early period—given the momentum that A&M had, this was very much a reason for concern.

Then, this morning, his signature comes in.

Texas A&M football fans breathed a sigh of relief when they saw this come across their screens this morning. Myles is a true game-changer and instant-impact player out wide, where the Aggies really need it.

Standing at 6'3" and 220 LBs, Myles has the stature of an elite weapon at receiver. He has clocked times of 10.34s in the 100 meter dash, and 20.84s in the 200 meter dash—those are eye-popping numbers.

This is a signing the Aggies desperately needed and a great step for WR coach Holmon Wiggins. Now, the Aggies need to make some moves at the position in the portal to truly flip the receiver room.
