In what's been a crazy quarterback rotation for Texas A&M football for the past four years, it appears the Aggies have found their quarterback.
With Conner Weigman becoming a Houston Cougar after a rough stretch of injuries and inconsistent play in College Station, fans were calling immediately for his removal after a tough game against Notre Dame. When Marcel Reed took over as the first string quarterback against the LSU Tigers, there was no looking back as to who would become the next Aggie quarterback.
It's brought some attention to Will 'The Blanket' Lee III as to someone who's now putting some respect on Reed's name.
Aggie star cornerback reminds us of Reed's relevance
Will Lee III on the biggest strides Marcel Reed has made: "The confidence. I talk to the offensive line, and they say it's different. He is leading those guys. He is holding the weight on his shoulders."

"He's got that dog in him, for sure."
This kind of praise goes a long way when it comes from other players, so it's good to see Lee's comments. Confidence is key, and Reed looked lacking in that department early last year.
Reed is a natural runner along with being a raw thrower. After the South Carolina game, Aggie fans were all in agreement together saying his accuracy needed to get better. In this day and age with the quarterback who can scramble and pass the ball, it almost seems like a good problem for Elko and company who can help solve any issues.
With the defense in major question for 2025, Elko has learned from his mistakes in year one, and he will look to help out his defense more along with hiring Lyle Hemphill for another eye. The defensive secondary will look to continue its relevancy while one if its stars has Reed on a high pedestal.
It looks to be another tough battle in the SEC, as it is every year, but when you take Reed's running ability along with Lee III telling us about Reed's leadership skills, it almost seems like too good of news to run away from.
