The NFL Combine in 2025 has brought plenty of headlines this week, including Myles Garrett's now hostage situation with the Cleveland Browns. Garrett had already publicly requested a trade, now the Browns GM is looking to keep him "unmovable," which might for a sticky offseason for Garrett.
As for former Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart, he's about to live out his dream as an NFL player. His athleticism is off the charts— it's only a matter if he can get to the right team.
Stewart left a bold message for the GMs that don't take him in this year's NFL Draft. Only time will tell if his words will mean something.
Stewart's message that should unnerve every NFL GM who passes him over
Stewart's athletic abilities make him a clear target for becoming a first-round draft pick, but he didn't mince words when discussing NFL GM's that overlook him.

Stewart has been known to not back down to his opponents, and it's clear what his identity will be in the NFL. It's all gas, no brakes for Stewart. This is about the boldest statement anyone could make as a future rookie in the NFL.
Stewart has the ability to back it up though, he might just rip through one scale that tells a lot of athleticism in the combine.

Stewart could fly up draft boards, similar to Travon Walker, who went 1st overall.

I don't think Stewart will rise to be the number one pick, but he can definitely rise above some of the draft boards we've seen already. Major necessities that are sure to be taken early will be guys like Will Campbell, Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, Mason Graham and Kelvin Banks Jr.
Nonetheless, Stewart's courageous statement is something to think about if you're an NFL GM. As to which ones will pay the price for not picking him up, that's something time will only tell.
