Texas A&M has landed the commitment of consensus four-star safety Tylan Wilson, a stud defensive back out of Pascagoula, Mississippi, over Clemson and the Arkansas Razorbacks. This makes two straight wins for the Aggies over Dabo Swinney's program, after Texas A&M swooped in to land five-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright earlier this month.

Wilson is a tall, instinctive defensive back with some real power to his game. He's a hard hitter from the secondary like A&M fans have loved for quite some time, reminiscent of guys like Donovan Wilson. His ball skills are a plus as well, which is always massive for a defensive back— this one is a real turnover machine.
This is a great addition to the class for Mike Elko and company. He joins a star-studded defensive back group that includes Chance Collins, Brandon Arrington, Cameron Hamiel, and Victor Singleton— you can see Mike Elko starting to round this DB class into the image he wants already.
Texas A&M lands four-star safety Tylan Wilson, could soon see cascading effect
Wilson isn't just a stud in his own right, though. He joins the Aggies as one of the top players in the state of Mississippi during a pretty loaded year therein, and so his presence on the commit list could yield some favorable results in other recruitments with which A&M is currently involved.
Chief among these is Tristen Keys, a receiver from Hattiesburg who is currently committed to LSU. Ranked the number three player overall in the country, Keys is a guy who has the whole package at wideout, and snagging him would be a huge win for Texas A&M.
Another wideout from Mississippi that A&M is pursuing is Jase Mathews. With a decision upcoming for the 17th-ranked player in the country (per Rivals), A&M is right in the thick of things there as well, and so maybe Wilson could put in a good word there as well.
The last five-star prospect that A&M is pursuing in Mississippi is safety Bralan Womack. The five-star defensive back has been leaning Ohio State for some time, but he has great familiarity with the Aggie program. Could Wilson's commitment shift the tide in A&M's direction here? We'll just have to see.
Even if Texas A&M doesn't land any of these guys, this is still a big move for them. Wilson brings a lot to the table at safety, and it won't be long before he's terrorizing opposing passing games in Kyle Field.
