Texas A&M football is on a hot streak on the recruiting trail the likes of which we have rarely seen in College Station. The Ags are picking up and making the cut for top player after top player, and they just keep managing to have things break right, especially when it comes to players visiting the Aggies.
That all-important official visit experience is something that A&M has clearly gotten down to a science in a way that they haven't done since 2023, with the prospects that the Aggies are hotly pursuing seldom leaving campus without committing nowadays.
However, there's been some concern in the back of Aggie fans' minds as one of their own is deciding to check out other schools on official visits. This happens from time to time, of course, but never without some trepidation from the school to which the prospect is committed. That trepidation now looks like it has evaporated, however, following this recent news.
Texas A&M commit Samu Moala shuts recruitment down after official visit to College Station
It was no secret at all that A&M commit Samu Moala was looking around at other schools, despite being pledged to the Aggies. However, after a visit to College Station, all of that has changed:
A weekend official visit to College Station confirmed to @SamuMoala that Texas A&M is where he wants to be (Premium): https://t.co/uIl9eI1iKM

According to Texags, Samu has shut his recruitment down after this OV to see Mike Elko and company. West-coast schools were hard after Moala, but the outside linebacker/edge defender decided to lock in with the Aggies after this last visit to College Station.
Now, I know there are many who trust a recruit's word on this kind of thing as far as they could throw him, but the Aggies have done a good job in this regard during this cycle. The same dynamic was present with WR Aaron Gregory, but after a visit to College Station earlier this month, he's all in with the Maroon and White.
This is great news for the Aggies as they close in on another stellar defensive line haul in this class. Moala is a great player, and will contribute for years to come in the Maroon and White.
