Texas A&M football fans have known for quite some time that the Aggies need just a little more juice on the offensive side of things— and Collin Klein may have just let on who that will be. Once Ainias Smith and Devon Achane went out the door, there were precious few candidates that the Aggies had for an explosive offensive threat anywhere on the field, but they may have one in the pipeline now.

Le'Veon Moss was an excellent offensive engine, to be sure, but there's a difference between a physically dominant running back and a guy like Ainias or Achane. Luckily, Mike Elko fought to the very end of the recruiting cycle in 2025 to pull in the Ags' next big offensive breakout: Jamarion Morrow.

Originally committed to Missouri, Morrow flipped to A&M right before signing day, much like fellow former Missouri commit Lamont Rogers. Though the offensive lineman Rogers was a five-star and Morrow only a low four-star, it could be the all-purpose back who sees the field first in an Aggie uniform, judging from Collin Klein's recent comments.

In media availability following practice today, Collin Klein was asked who stood out in the scrimmage, and though he once again mentioned redshirt freshman Ashton Bethel-Roman, the first name on his lips was that of Jamarion Morrow.

Morrow's big day has led to some whispers since Saturday's scrimmage about the level of player he could end up being for the Aggies. As I said, his all-purpose ability has some dreaming of him replicating the role that Ainias Smith had in the Maroon and White, but Morrow could well be even more explosive than Smith.

There's an absolutely loaded running back room in Aggieland right now, but it's beginning to sound like Morrow is a guy that needs to see the field soon. If he can become a big contributor in year one, then it will be a huge boost for Mike Elko's squad as they angle for a ten-win season in 2025.
