Texas A&M RB Le'Veon Moss arrested: What Aggie fans need to know

News broke today that Aggie fans didn't love to see, but it will probably end up as not too troubling.

Texas A&M fans got news this morning that star running back Le'Veon Moss had been arrested in the early hours of this morning on a disorderly conduct charge. According to KBTX, Moss was released later in the day on a $300 personal bond.

KBTX recounts the details of the incident in their article. According to them, Moss was arrested after refusing to heed a police officer's warnings and shouting at an "unidentified man," as well as speaking aggressively towards people who were "attempting to talk to a female in his group."

In other words, I'd be highly surprised if this is something that causes Moss to miss any time on the field. Especially considering that this isn't even something that occurred during the season, I think the Aggies will probably handle some discipline in house. The most he's probably looking at from the legal system is a fine or some community service— he didn't engage physically with anyone or put anyone in danger, according to this report, so it's not particularly serious in the pantheon of college football player arrests.

What Texas A&M fans need to know about Le'Veon Moss arrest

Notre Dame, who play the Aggies in week 3, had some fans who were apparently hopeful that the Aggie running back may be unavailable for their matchup as a result of this. However, as Ryan Brauninger notes, this is unlikely:

Moss is slated to be the top running back for the Aggies in the upcoming season. This should be a major bounce back year for him after missing the Ags' last five games, in which A&M went 1-4. After a 7-1 stretch in games where Moss featured prominently, his presence will be massive.

Hopefully nothing much comes of this at all— unless further reporting emerges, which seems unlikely, this is probably a nothingburger for Moss.
