Texas A&M's recent recruiting success has drawn a lot of attention to the Aggies from across the nation, and it doesn't look like this train is slowing down anytime soon. Despite some strong classes already being put together by LSU and Georgia, the Aggies' current group outdoes them all at the moment.

The Aggies aren't done, either. They have several other huge fish on the line, and if Elko and his staff can close the deal, as we've seen them do time and time again, this is a class that could challenge for number one overall in the entire nation.

The Ags are outstripping the competition in a major way right now, and it's paying dividends in terms of momentum right now and later on, provided the Aggies can meet expectations on the field in the upcoming football season.

Texas A&M stands atop SEC in recruiting rankings with several huge targets still left to close on

On3 made note of the Aggies' prodigious position with a recent tweet:

The Aggies can further distinguish themselves here soon, as well. One of the top prospects that has turned into a battle between the top two teams in these rankings is Lamar Brown. After visits to both College Station and Baton Rouge, the ATH prospect who can play both offensive and defensive line will be making a decision in the early part of next month.

Land Brown, and the Aggies will truly be on their way to a potential number one finish. That will be no easy feat, of course, but they're certainly a big time contender for his services.

Another huge recruitment is that of John Turntine, who is coming off of a visit to Texas. The North Crowley offensive lineman is also looking at Stanford, who is a sneaky contender in this one.

The Aggies have a long way to go, but if they can close the deal with these outstanding players, they will be tough to catch for any other team
