Texas A&M football is set to face off against LSU this evening, taking on the Tigers in a pivotal matchup for both squads. The Tigers are hoping to avoid the abyss of irrelevance by hanging on for a top-3 win over the Aggies, while A&M is hoping to announce themselves as true championship contenders with a win.
The Aggie media team has been absolutely knocking it out of the park this season, what with the jersey announcements, The Pulse, and the overall hype that the social media pages have provided. One thing they’ve added since Mike Elko has been here are “trailers” for the games, narrated by players and staffers, that function as miniature hype videos.
As you’d expect, this one for the LSU game is some of their best work yet. You can watch it at this link or in the post down below, but fair warning: it will make you want to find the nearest brick wall and run directly through it.

The video here is well done on all fronts, but it goes deeper than simply an exciting set of clips set to music. The voice over is provided by Texas A&M strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt— who, of course, was previously at LSU for quite some time.
Moffitt was a living legend down in Baton Rouge, so it was confusing to many Tiger fans why one of Brian Kelly’s first moves as a head coach was to dismiss him. Their loss was the Aggies’ gain, of course, as Moffitt made the jump over to College Station to join Mike Elko’s program.
You can see the effect he’s had on the players, as Texas A&M has been playing with a real edge and toughness this entire season. That’s directly attributable to what Moffitt has been doing with this team, and it is no small part of the success they’ve had this year.
Having Moffitt narrate this trailer is simply the ultimate chef’s-kiss moment. It’s a dig at an already-disgruntled LSU fanbase, reminding them of how the coach they are all getting sick of let one of their own go to a conference rival— and that his work with that rival has made them a team to be dreaded and feared when they roll into town.
