Texas A&M football has a chance to get some serious revenge after their 2024 campaign didn't start well. The Aggies struggled heavily on offense, and to some fans, it was the beginning of the end for Conner Weigman's time in a Texas A&M uniform.
The Aggies will have the help of home turf advantage to get back at South Carolina and Auburn, but with the Notre Dame game in South Bend, this will likely be the toughest game for the Aggies this season, pending the Texas game in Austin. The Aggies might have some weight off their shoulders, with an injury update that might haunt the Irish this upcoming season.
Notre Dame PR team announces season-ending injuries to two Irish players
It was announced on Saturday that the Irish will miss running back Kedren Young and tight end Kevin Bauman.
Kedren Young (right knee, anterior cruciate ligament tear) and Kevin Bauman (left knee, articular cartilage injury) sustained injuries during preseason practice. The injuries will subsequently require surgery and force them to miss the remainder of the 2025 season.

This doesn't hurt the RB room as much, considering Jeremiyah Love will handle most of the carrying duties. Although, Notre Dame is used to testing their freshmen skill players in recent years, and even though Young could be as low as the fourth option on the depth chart, this is still a loss that Irish fans didn't want to hear about. Notre Dame coaches have boasted about Young being the real deal.
Bauman is the second option at TE, and this will no doubt become a considerable loss for the Irish. Eli Raridon will be the first TE, but depth means everything in college football, and this is one less body for the Aggies' defense to worry about.
Obviously, any kind of injury that requires surgery is nothing to play around with. We hope the two young men a speedy recovery for their respective careers. For Aggies fans, this stunning update provides some hope that the defense will have less on their hands come Sept. 13.
