Texas A&M's path to the no. 1 overall recruiting class in the 2027 cycle

There's a definite path for the Aggies to end up with the top-ranked class in the upcoming cycle— one which they are already well on their way to.

How Texas A&M can finish with no. 1 recruiting class in 2027: Finish out strong on the offensive line

Adam Cushing's turnaround of the Aggies up front has not gone unnoticed by fans, nor has it gone unnoticed by recruits along the offensive front. The Aggies already have a couple of big names in the boat in Kaeden Scott and DeMarrion Johnson, but they are in the running for several more massive players in this position group.

That includes four (!!!) five-star talents, who have all made several trips to College Station and are clearly highly interested in Mike Elko's program. One such player is Albert Simien, an interior OL prospect out of Louisiana, who is currently predicted to land with the Aggies. He's the no. 22 overall prospect in the class, according to the 247 Sports Composite.

Ismael Camara is another player to watch closely here. The French national is still discovering just how good of an offensive lineman he can be, and playing for Gilmer, staying close by could be a big positive for him. Camara is currently ranked as the no. 29 prospect in the class.

Mark Mathews is the no. 2-ranked recruit in America, and the top offensive lineman overall. Would it be too rich to wish for both he and Meredith to end up in the maroon and white? Maybe, but it's not that unrealistic. It would be tough to pull him away from the hometown Miami Hurricanes, but the Aggies are making a run at it.

Kennedy Brown is the other obvious name. A Houston native, he's intimately familiar with the Aggies' program, and has been to College Station many times. Brown is the no. 4 overall prospect in the class, and could anchor the Aggies' offensive line for years to come if he chooses A&M.

If Mike Elko and company can snag two out of the four names here, they will be in great shape.
