Texas A&M has picked up their second transfer portal commitment from Colorado's defensive unit in defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain. The interior defensive line commit comes with three years of eligibility left and will look to buttress a position group that is losing some key players in Albert Regis and Tyler Onyedim.

Davis-Swain started to come on at the end of the year for the Buffaloes, with his best game of the season being his last against West Virginia— for which he was named the Big 12 defensive lineman of the week by Pro Football Focus. He'll add some much-needed depth to the Aggie defensive tackle room, and while A&M is still looking for a true one-tech, he'll be a fast-rising choice for three-tech without a doubt.

Winning up front is a huge point of emphasis going into next season for Texas A&M. The Aggies played a very aggressive style of defense last season— one which racked up a huge amount of TFLs, but also one that saw them have a lot of huge runs broken against them.
Adding big bodies like Davis-Swain to the rotation will help a lot with the Aggies' efforts to stop the run. Rather than having to guess perfectly every time, you leave it to the space eaters in the middle to handle multiple gaps and let the rest of the defense read things.
This is another good step by Mike Elko and Elijah Robinson. They have their eyes set on multiple defensive line additions, especially at the edge spot, and this is a great way to continue their transfer portal hot streak.
