One of the very first players to commit to Mike Elko out of the Transfer Portal in his time in College Station was Kansas State cornerback Will Lee III. Lee quickly became a fan favorite after locking down one of the starting DB positions, playing at an elite level, and showcasing his confidence on the field and off.
Now, Lee is set to represent the Aggies in a major spotlight as Texas A&M has announced that he is one of the three player representatives for the Ags at next week's SEC Media Days. Lee will be heading to Atlanta alongside Ar'maj Reed-Adams and Taurean York, the latter of whom is making his second trip to media days.

This is a strong group of three players who will no doubt represent the school and team well. The leadership among the three is well-noted, too, as they are some of the strongest in that category on the team.
Will Lee set to represent Texas A&M at SEC Media Days alongside Reed-Adams, York
Lee is looking to have a huge season this year. He was playing at an all-SEC level in 2024 before the Aggies' late-season skid and suffering an injury that kept him out of the bowl game. If he can continue his lockdown ways into 2025, it will be a boon for the A&M defense.
It struck me as well that not only are two of the Aggies' representatives at Media Days players that they got from the transfer portal, but they came from rival schools. Reed-Adams was a Kansas Jayhawk, and Lee was formerly a Kansas State Wildcat. Now, though, they're sharing the stage in the Maroon and White.
While York and Reed-Adams have higher national profiles, both being named as members of the top 50 players in the country by Pro Football Focus, Lee is not far off. He could join them as a member of that distinguished group if his play on the field is given its due this season— and getting his name out there like this is a good way to get some eyes on him.
