Texas A&M spring game takeaways: Offensive line looked better than expected

Dividing up the offensive front during a game like this always ends up causing some issues among the fans, but Adam Cushing's unit, top to bottom, really proved itself in this one. There wasn't much optimism that the A&M pass protection would be able to hold up against the pass rush, but they did an admirable job.

It wasn't just the one on one plays, however, though they did well in that capacity. No, it more so was the communication and movement among both the units for the Maroon and the White teams to prevent free rushers from getting in the QB's faces.

There were several individual offensive linemen who impressed in this one, including Robert Bourdon and Lamont Rogers for the White team and Alabama transfer Wilkin Formby for the Maroon team. That's a great sign going forward for Texas A&M.

The run blocking had some issues, and part of that has to do with the excellent play by the defensive line, but as was mentioned above, players like Morrow made the most out of it. There's a lot to build on for Adam Cushing's unit, as the Texas A&M OL coach continues to prove he's one of the best in the country.
